I use Windows 7 64bit and when I try to install the drivers, only the scangear tool installs but not the network scangear tool. Now to have a second scanner is nice! I already have a Fujitsu c on my desk but it is much slower. I use a free app called Twacker I had to search for something because Adobe Photoshop at least CS5 will not see or use the Canon copier even after setup with ScanGear.

I had Network Scangear installed on Windows 7 per your instructions and it worked for about a year and a half. A few months ago it stopped. Instead, Canon suggests to use the Windows 7 driver with qualifications at Canon about issues they do not know of as yet; to be sure to be sure.
